Starting to Show
TC is starting to look pregnant.  She has lost he waist and is getting big.  It isn't stopping her from playing with my mom's boys.  She likes to keep active and enjoys the warm Southern California weather.  Only 3 weeks to go before the puppies are due.

The Waiting is Thru

Finally the wait is over.  It always seems like those 28 days take years to pass but now we know that TC is definately pregnant.  The vet clearly saw 3 puppies and was pretty sure he saw a 4th.  Ultrasound is not really the best for counting but we definately know that we should have some pups in October.

Now is time for all the excitement of waiting and planning the pups arrival.  Their anticipated due date is October 31.  We are expecting nice shiny black and whites and beautiful orangey reds, perfect for a Halloween litter.

28 Days and Counting

This morning TC was inseminated.  If everything goes as planned then we should be able to see some pups on an ultrasound in about 28 days.

TC ovulated on Friday so that means we should expect puppies exactly 9 weeks from that date which means we should be welcoming some Howl - o - Ween babies.

TC Has Arrived

This year's litter is a new experience for us.  Instead of owning the dam of the litter, this year we own the sire, DC Sherwood's In The Nick of Time SC, RN, LCM, JOR, but will be having the dam stay with us to have the litter.

On Tuesday, we got the call that TC was in season and began making plans to get her to California.  Yesterday, she began the day early in North Carolina, leaving arriving in Raleigh for a 6am flight.  She arrived in California around 11am our time.  She was at our house by about 2pm and happy to have a nice break from travelling.  She did have to make a trip to the vet in the afternoon but is really a very good girl and never really complained.

Since we don't have a page for TC, here are some more photos of her.  Maybe later this week I will build her a webpage.
